Guiding little steps with BIG love......

As early childhood educators’ relationships are at the heart of everything we do. Genuine, positive relationships with children, families and each other are essential if we want to achieve positive outcomes. When we think about relationships it is usually relationships with children that spring to mind. But the relationships and partnerships that we build with families are just as important. Working with parents is rewarding, challenging and always full of possibilities. The best outcomes for children occur when educators and family members work together.

Learning Hubs and Programs

Educators are guided by both the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the Western Australian Kindergarten Guidelines for program and practice. These frameworks provide valuable guidance for our educators and early learning professionals to create high-quality and child responsive learning experiences for young children.

Nursery

Ages 0-12m

These tiny adventurers will embark on the most delightful journey of learning and discovery! We believe that the earliest years are filled with wonder and curiosity, and our vibrant childcare and kindergarten program is designed to nurture that innate inquisitiveness.

Our unique Nursery is capped at "8" children and an intimate space with adjoining sleep area and kitchenette. By separating our smallest children there is plenty space for tummy time and one to one interaction with our specalised Nursery team safely away from the fast feet of Toddlers.

Infants

Ages 12m-24m

When designing our beautiful home away from home, these fast-paced toddlers were at the forefront of our planning process. Our Infants class is spread over two large indoor rooms. Once specifically designed for fine motor and social development and the neighbouring room ready for some serious fun no matter what the weather.

Our large indoor and outdoor play spaces are what sets us aside from other services. Our Infants have room to move, room to explore freely and opportunities for gross motor play both indoors and outdoors.

Toddlers

Ages 2-4

Our Toddlers are curious and big on art!

Music and arts programs in early years education offer numerous benefits, fostering creativity, cognitive skills, social-emotional development, and language acquisition, while also promoting fine and gross motor skills.

Our BIG art program provides opportunities for children to express themselves using a range of materials.

Our Toddler routine is predictable and incorporates music - song, rhythm and dance as a fun transitional language to move through routine activities. We pride ourselves on providing children with plenty of opportunities to participate in daily tasks such as cooking and cleaning.

Most of all its FUN!

Kindy

Ages 3+

Our kindy program is designed to ignite curiosity and foster creativity while ensuring a nurturing environment. We believe that play is the foundation of education; our innovative curriculum combines imaginative play with foundational skills in literacy, math, and social development. We're not just preparing children for school; we're igniting their passion for learning and fueling their dreams from the very start.

In all classrooms we consider the environment as the third teacher, it plays an active role in providing opportunities for children to engage in play and explore learning concepts through curiosity and exploration.

In Kindy, learning doesn't just take place in the classroom, play is a central part of our program which extends beyond the classroom and into the broader community through regular incursions and excursions.

Excursions

  • Kindy Gym - Gymnastics offers numerous benefits, including improved physical skills like strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination, as well as enhanced self-confidence, social skills, and discipline. Gymnastics encourages each child to “Give it a go”.

  • Bush Kindy - Bush Kindy programs in the early years offer numerous benefits, including enhanced physical and mental health, increased confidence and resilience, and a deeper connection to nature and the environment, fostering a love for the outdoors and promoting holistic development

  • Intergenerational - Villa Maria - Intergenerational programs in early years offer numerous benefits, including fostering empathy, promoting social skills, and enhancing understanding between generations, while also improving communication and interpersonal skills. Vygotsky's Scaffolding concept is a theory that focuses on the learner's ability to grow through the guidance of a more informed / knowledgeable other. In this class, the role of teacher and learner is interchangeable.

Outside School Hours Care

ClubHQ is a purpose-built centre resembling a Youth Club. Specialising in school aged children, we understand that students have been at school all day and don't want to be "babysat". Our Club provides a unique, funky and relaxing environment where school children can relax or participate in term programs such as:

  • Lego Master Minds (Engineering & Creativity)

  • Science Investigators (STEM Discovery)

  • Kitchen Kadets (Cooking Program)

  • Homework Club (Educational Support)

At ClubHQ, we’re proud to be part of our wider community. We actively support local schools and families by attending faction carnivals, assisting with school fundraising events, and engaging in initiatives that strengthen the connection between our service and the community. We believe community involvement is key to nurturing confident, connected learners.

“Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You.” Dr. Seuss

There is something special about being local!

There is something special about being local!

Yep, you got it that’s me…. the little girl in pink, blissfully unaware of what her future would be. This photo was taken in my homeland, New Zealand. My family and I moved to Australia when I was 10 years old, arriving in Perth and settling in High Wycombe. Growing up in the local area I attended Edney Primary and started my career in the Early Years at Totland Child Care, one of the first Early Learning Services to be built in High Wycombe, 26 years ago!

As a mother of four, I understand the level of trust that is required to transition into Early Education and Care. I understand the mum guilts, the daily juggle, and the importance of knowing my child is happy, safe and protected. This is why my team and I work at ground level, never losing sight of what is important and ensuring little things don’t go unnoticed. At KidsHQ we provide a personalised experienced where every child is at the heart of everything we do. Together through collaborative partnerships, our role is to support families in their role as parents. We focus on the “whole child” including each child’s comfort, interests, sleep and rest needs, individual love language and most importantly ensuring we meet the individual needs of each child’s connection, involvement and participation.

I believe one of the benefits of choosing a local family-owned service is becoming part of our community, getting to know our team, the people who develop the policies, write the safety standards and who hand select our team members. As a local service we pride ourselves on employing local educators and teachers to ensure staff turnover is at a minimum. We employ based on skill level and personality. We do not engage relief or agency educators who are unknown to us, we are blessed with a full team of educators who have been with us from the beginning of our journey. We can’t wait to meet you and your family and guide your child’s steps with big love.

What we value

Together, these values guide educators in nurturing well-rounded individuals prepared for future academic success and social engagement.

Child-centered Learning

Emphasising the importance of recognising each child's unique interests, abilities, and developmental stages, fostering an environment where children actively engage in their learning journeys.

Inclusivity and Diversity

These programs strive to create welcoming spaces that honor various cultural backgrounds and promote equity among all children, thereby encouraging social harmony from an early age.

The value of Play

A vital component of learning shapes curricula; through play-based activities, children develop critical cognitive and social skills while also enhancing their creativity and emotional intelligence—a holistic approach that acknowledges the interconnectedness of play and education.

Safety First

Safety First. We believe it is through learning to manage risk that children develop the skills they need in life. We believe risky play within a controlled environment provides opportunities for children to develop problem solving skills, work together in partnership and at times learn from more knowledgeable others.Security and your child’s safety is our number one priority; our educators are trained professionals who understand how our environment and surroundings influence your child’s experience.  Our equipment and resources are hand selected by our team based on suitability and durability.

Community Focused

We believe it takes a village to raise a child, and community is vital because it fosters a sense of belonging, provides support, and offers opportunities for social connection, learning, and growth, ultimately contributing to individual and collective well-being. We believe equity, inclusion and diversity are paramount, our role as educators is to support children and families throughout their early learning journey. We understand a one size fits all approach does not meet the needs of modern families, therefore, we offer a flexible approach to enrolment and booking patterns ensuring everything we do supports parents to make the process easier

Nurture

We believe children who receive consistent, loving, and attentive care develop a sense of security and trust, which is essential for their emotional well-being and ability to cope with separation, transitions and big emotions.  As educators we nurture the learning environment, we believe the environment is the third teacher designed to be not only functional but also beautiful and reflective of each child's learning. Learning to nurture the environment that we share is fundamental, early conservation and sustainable practices are role modelled to children and explored through group projects.

Flexible

We understand a one size fits all approach does not meet the needs of modern families, therefore, we offer flexible booking patterns. We acknowledge the need for work / life balance and offer our team flexible working arrangements whilst managing a predictable roster. Our flexible approach is embedded in classroom management through routines and play based learning.  We welcome family suggestion, input and guidance in all areas of quality improvement. We identify families as a child's first and most influential educators and therefore a significant contributor to KidsHQ.
